Day 42

The puppies are 6 weeks old today and for the most part they are weaned from Tess.  She goes into the whelping pen and checks on them every couple of hours and they will nurse but it is for comfort.  They are eating 3/4 cup of softened puppy food three times a day.  But they do love their mom!  She has become a great source of fun for them (as if having 10 playmates wasn't enough).  When she lays down, they really enjoy climbing on top of her or playing tug-a-war with a toy.
